Compassionate Care of Florida is the membership-based practice of Dr. Joseph Dryer, D.O. — unhurried internal medicine with same or next-day visits, direct access to your physician, and honest, flat pricing. No insurance middleman. No rushed appointments.
Direct Primary Care means Dr. Dryer keeps a smaller patient panel than the typical practice that juggles two to three thousand patients. That translates into more time, faster access, and a real relationship with your doctor.
Smaller panels mean when you need to be seen, you can be — often the same or next day, without the weeks-long wait.
Phone consultations are included in your membership — reach Dr. Dryer directly instead of a call center or automated line.
You pay a simple monthly membership directly to your doctor — no insurance billing, no surprise charges for office visits.
Care built for conversation, not the clock — time to actually be heard, ask questions, and understand your health.
Ongoing, coordinated care for conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and ADHD — managed by a physician who knows you.

A native Floridian who built the practice he always wanted to work in. After seven years inside corporate medicine, Dr. Dryer saw how broken the system had become — for patients and physicians alike — and started Compassionate Care of Florida so patients could finally get the quality of care they deserve.
Direct Primary Care is a straightforward idea: you pay a monthly fee directly to your physician, and the insurance company steps out of the exam room. One flat rate covers your primary care with Dr. Dryer.
Direct Primary Care is a primary care arrangement, not medical insurance — it does not replace catastrophic coverage for emergencies or surgeries. Lab testing, imaging, vaccinations, and medical cannabis evaluations are billed separately.

Dr. Dryer is state-certified to evaluate and certify patients for medical cannabis for qualifying and comparable conditions — including the pediatric cases that few Florida physicians will take on.
New patients should bring medical records documenting a qualifying condition. Established Direct Primary Care patients are evaluated directly. Certifications are limited to 210 patients by Florida statute, and medical cannabis is not included in the DPC membership.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model designed to fix a broken system. You pay a monthly fee directly to your physician, which removes the insurance company from your primary care. Because Dr. Dryer keeps a smaller patient panel than a typical practice managing two to three thousand patients, he can offer more time and same or next-day appointments.
